Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

This board has lost its meaning.

It is lame now that Intel is no longer on the DOW and no longer needs to compete to survive. They should move Intel Layoff board to the Federal Government Layoff board

@a3 just stay alive. China’s kicking the front door in before 2030. You and I both know it.

If, by "this board", you mean the Intel Board of Directors then I agree.

If, instead, you mean thelayoff, then I disagree. This website will continue to be an important historical chronicle of the demise of the old Intel and the repercussions of its death on the labor force. With any luck, it may also serve to document the resurrection of the company in a new, leaner fighting form.

The postings here are providing essential feedback regarding business practices and decisions that have led to the current state of the company as well as the employment situation facing all Intel employees (including the BOD and C-level executives and leadership team). An additional benefit of these postings is a historical record of the political environment at this critical time, which is arguably inseparable from the company trajectory.

Intel has lost all meaning.
An irrelevant chip company barely in the top 20.

Larger, better run, more capable competitors ate Intel’s lunch.

TSMC already manufactures literally 10x the wafers Intel does.

It’s over.
It’s been over for a while now.
