Thread regarding Pearson PLC layoffs

Todays Town Hall S H I T Show

I have never in all my life listened to as much garbage or side stepping than covered in today's town hall. So many people unhappy. What really annoys me is that AB stood up and talked complete garbage and did not answer any of the job title or other HR queries at all. It is very clear a large portion of employees are unhappy, and guess what Pearson really do not care. Time to jump from this sinking and toxic ship.

Just caught up after holiday. What a cast of characters. Dobby the Nobby, center of all and dreams to be the belle of the ball. At a side sits AB, queen of wonderment where all is a shock and amazement. There is a fast talking wonder boy, and a lot of empty headed beings from deep in space. Finding my exit door in shorte time.

The amount of people with the same title is ridiculous. The only way it makes sense is to justify future cuts. I can’t help but notice all the new hires from outside have higher titles than native Pearson employees.

@g4
It was mainly when AB started talking nonsense about the new job titles, it was a stream of hundreds (thousands?) of open-mouthed gasp/surprised emojis ....

@fq For those who didn’t watch the live, what emojis were thrown at them? It’s a shame there isn’t a middle finger emoji on teams. I bet they’ll block everyone from using them in the next townhall.

They posted the video, but all emojis are not showing. Too bad. It was epic hatred.

OA was a patronising mess, acting like we are all as thick as sh!t! He’s had 2 years in education with his mates, who all thought it would be easy and they are destroying the organisation from within. He needs to respect the FACT that we all know how this works, we all see how his tech bro buddies operate and that we all know more about education than he ever will, and then jog on back to MS.

@a4 Not really. Three options.

  1. You quit
  2. You get fired
  3. You take it

Jimmy Hoffa ain't coming to Pearson anytime soon.

I have raised multiple offical and reasonable queries with my manager regarding Job title changes. No response or acknowledgement at all, very disappointed with the lack of respect being shown. That works both ways, I am going to collect my bonus and resign with immediate effect and give no notice.
