Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

This thread hits home for me. The only reason I am here is because my job search is taking a lot longer than I expected. Everything in this company is offensive. The management, the treatment of workers, the poor benefits and the whole terrible ‘top down’ mentality. This place is only as good as the top level since all they do is tell everyone what and how to do tasks. And to be sure, the top level is very poorly skilled. Most of my coworkers are losers as they require constant guidance and babysitting. Also, it cracks me up that a bottom of the barrel id--t here in this thread thinks the problem is malcontent people while telling them to start their own companies. Sure, if only life was so simple from such simpletons.

@a5 - a2 here. I am NOT the OP of this thread. I also believe the OP is 100% accurate. I was a long tenured employee who started with legacy Mellon. Last year they started to give me the business- partially meets and a false PIP. Luckily for me, I have FU money and was able to leave on my terms. The icing on the cake was making my lying manager my b!tch during the meeting in which I submitted my resignation. I hope everyone is able to strategize his or her exit strategy and leave that hellhole. The goal is to sc--w over as much of the U.S. employee base as possible. May Robin Vince get exactly what he gives.

So by your own admission (since you're currently with BNY), then you too are a terrible person with almost no redeeming values, looking like a beaten, downtrodden and tired loser, who chooses to work in an ugly, smelly, stale, demotivating place, giving clients poor service.

Unduly harsh… LOL … hey cupcake the truth hurts and can be hot sometimes. But the OP has completely nailed this with 100% pinpoint accuracy. You seem to want to be liked and be some Emily style psychologist giving unwelcome peter pan advice. That makes you the loser that this thread calls out. Why dont you go back to school, study and get a psych practice.

Your post where you categorized your employer as having "no redeeming values", and every single one of your coworkers as having "the look of a loser" was judgemental and unduly harsh, which ironically, is an arrogant way of looking at things. You weren't just observing, you were pointing a finger and negatively judging, using blanket statements.

It doesn't matter if you were soliciting advice or not, be prepared to receive ANYthing in response to what you write, when you put your thoughts out here on a site online, which is freely accessible to anyone in the world to comment on.

Something tells me you don't have what it takes to start a business and grow it into a successful venture. You seem to be quite bitter and brittle in attitude. Sorry you're in such a negative headspace, but that's for you to work on and change for the better, no one else can do it for you. Best of luck in your future endeavors!

Start your own business an/or find another job.

No use in getting all worked up over something that's strangling your joy so much.
