I've been here too long. I don't like my job, my latest team is meh, and compensation could be better. I know beggars can't be choosers, and the job market is tight. What I'm saying is that if I'm cut, I wouldn't be sad about it or consider it my personal failure. Regardless of how much corporations like seeing you devastated. I'm confident that if I'm laid off, things will sort themselves out, as they always do.

Be grateful you have a job and aren’t on the job hunt in this market right now.
What group are they planning on layoff
@a2 many who “want to work,” shouldn’t, because they have no skills.
I requested my manager to consider me. I am exactly in same situation as OP. I am not sure if request should be made to someone higher up in hierarchy.
I’ve had to scratch and claw for every promotion i’ve ever gotten here - and passed over for several I definitely earned - so if I’m finally cut I won’t be sad about leaving that behind.
@OP+1kefgcca7 - Raise your hand to your management to be included in the next layoff, so that someone who wants to work can retain their job.
