If so, what orgs were impacted?
I have already asked my supervisor and he does not know.

Lots of work location changes for network operations regional staff and wireless. Making people move to strategic metro hubs.
Eliminating the ringers!
@a6
False.
I was notified on Thursday, 10/23, by a phone call followed up by an email.
“This after a round in July with no backfilling and a round in September with no backfilling.”
Metrics continue to confirm overstaffing. Remaining employees need to step up.
@e3 significant cuts in Caleb D. Org. U see Berry and Schubert. This after a round in July with no backfilling and a round in September with no backfilling.
@a9 come on really now. Where are you getting the facts ? How deep is this going?
@c4 how is this fact ? Do tell more
Dead weight.
@c4 it was a long time coming Robertson org has been bloated and su-king the life out of this company for far too long.
@c4 well said. It’s definitely not a rumor as this was a huge cut. Lots of people being laid off into the worst job market of recent memory.
Hello folks. This is NOT a rumor. A lot of employees were impacted under Jenn R. and Caleb D. organizations. We need to give those individuals privacy and respect. They may or may not want to be laid off especially during the holiday seasons.
@b1 not fake. Lots of people impacted today.
We are safe. Thank you union contract.
Fake news.
Layoffs are every other week these days. Gotta cut cut cut those costs. Still need to get under 90k employees. Only 35k more to go. Eventually it will hit the techs, but I’m sure only the junior most people to reduce costs.
Layoffs #1 business focus last 10 years
Not NTECs in California
These soccer shoes are made for walkin'
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these soccer shoes
Are gonna walk all over you
Mass Markets employees were notified today.
There will another post that "various sources" claim a layoff on November 30th just to get a reaction. Old fashioned trolling
Well as of this morning my VP is out as of the end of December and notification to us about it didn’t make it seem like there was a whole lot more f regret on the part of their bosses.
My organization held mandatory conference calls with the VP and HR where they announced a pending layoff with no date. The VP was reading from a script and no questions were allowed, strictly to meet legal requirements. Levels 1 and 2 had no advance information, and level 3s were responsible for reviewing/approving the layoff spreadsheet from HR, but in the end, the numbers had to be met across the organization; different organizations had to swap employees (give and take) to meet the total. Of course, this was for management only; Non-Management followed the union contract.
Actually, there is never a general email announcement announcing a layoff on a specific day, at least that I have seen in over 20 years. The only announcement is to the individual impacted. Several years ago, sometimes a division announced a pending layoff to all employees, and then you either received an email saying you were not impacted or in the 'universe' impacted (left you hanging) until the notice came. Don't know if they still do this or not.
Not a rumor. Several groups under Jen R org. Caleb D, John P
"Yes, the OP shall soon be laid off."
OP here -- I certainly hope so. I will take my severance and ride off into the sunset at the beach!
@a9 This
I Don’t Like Mondays
Get back to work!
Unofficial notification in Caleb D org today to those not located in a hub. Official notification to come 11/19 with no option to move. Official payroll date will be 12/10. Multiple in my group under Caleb notified this morning.
Not until the 21st.
Was all phoney baloney. They don’t do this on Mondays.
I’m virtual and haven’t heard anything. Typically they only notify people on Wednesdays and Fridays for RTO or “surpluses.”
Going to guess it was just a rumor and 11/21 is the real upcoming date. You never know, though. Not like this place has a process or a plan anymore.
Yes, the OP shall soon be laid off.
@a2 how were you told? Did you have a call about it this morning?
Its quiet here in San Ramon.
