Thanks for the link.
@ag, for the future reference - the whole point of the site is sharing info anonymously without exposing other people either. even if someone tried dropping names, mods would nix it fast. that’s why you mostly see people mention roles/general areas instead of super specific details.
There were layoffs today. From another thread.

I am sorry to hear for some of you who got impacted today. I heard the product org is safe.
@ag why would anyone give out names here? Lol what a d-mb comment
@ak oh man. Wishing you all the luck. I'm in BR and haven't heard anything at all in tax.
NS, last day 8/7, I'm in NJ
@aj Well, you’re just a silly goose if you think that outing any names here won’t cause any discontent or problems. Why would anyone risk it? For clout on this website? You don’t have to be a genius to figure out who’s who if you name locations, leaders, etc. If you don’t want to believe it, fine. But I’d never go so far as to name my department or manager on this site if I got laid off. The blowback isn’t worth it.
No one has to say or prove anything to trolls. We know what the truth is. If people don't believe the RIF, then they don't believe. I don't care. We're just warning people so they're not blindsided. If you don't get Riffed, then good on you. If you do, at least maybe this board helped you to mentally prepare.
Off payroll July 3. NY
@a8 yes in BR in Finance org last day 9/8/26 if I don’t find something else internal.
@ah 1- the site is anonymous. 2 - It's not illegal or against any rules to name the person that laid you off or the department you worked for or who the director is. 3 - there is NO NDA in your exit package preventing you from speaking freely on an anonymous site. 4 - They can't prove a person posted anything here!
@ag no, the reason people don’t give out names is because they don’t want to receive disciplinary action or lose their severance / benefits.
All fake news, now layoffs going on today. Take note, the bots coming in saying they were cut today give no details, like job title, location, AD's name, ED's name. The reason the bots don't give out this info is because it's all fake.
@ad 4 weeks is standard unless you are in NJ or CA. Even then it could be 4 weeks and VZ would simply pay the penalties.
@a4 how would that make it better?
@ab Only 4 weeks notice? What is your Severance?
@aa check who else in your team has the 15-min meeting at the same time as your boss. Or check your boss’ boss calendar in case your boss is impacted…
@a3 Same - - June 6th gone.
My boss never has 15 mins blocked on their calendar but they do today. Might mean nothing but its quite a coincidence
@a1 several offices were told to wfh today. Reason given was layoffs.
I was the kne calling bs on this 2 weeks ago. Its real for some people, definitely not like november #s tho
@a7 are you in BR?
@a6 not made up, not everyone on here lies. It doesn’t matter what department line of business I’m in. I never have direct meetings with my SD. I’m hoping it’s something else, but I doubt it.
Line of business? Department? Which manager? Oh right, just another made up vague post.
For what time? I wish you the best and hope that it isn't bad
Why can't they have ba--s and do it in person
I received my 15 minute invite with my SD
What if there won’t be any patters this time like 8AM or WFH?
