Looking back, my biggest increase here still was ridiculously low. And that's when I got a raise. I often wonder why I stay, and then I remember the state of the job market.

There are plenty of good high paying jobs with less stress out there. I can count how many people left and are very happy.
People who stay are essentially in a mental prison and can’t relate to the wonders that’s are out there since they seen only misery here.

What state of a job market? If you stay in BS job because of induced fear of "job market", you are not an employee - you are hostage.
