If you are receiving severance, and you find a new job, you are required to report that to the Displacement Team. Any severance you have left over will automatically get sent to you in a lump sum, of course the state is going to tax the cr-p out of it.

Got a job with the government. Double dipped for almost a year. Dropped the cr-ppy WF insurance. Moved my pension, 401k and my accounts.

If you get a job after the 60 day notice you can request a lump sum payment of your severance. It’s in the paperwork they send you.

I was hired by another bank during my 60 days but negotiated start date to about a week after my notice period. I had 10 months of severance and double dipped during that time. It worked out well. Good luck.

@a1 nonworking notice period is the first 2 months, correct? Then you can get a lump sum afterwards?

Not only will you still get paid after the non-working notice, but you can even call in and convert to a lump sum payment if you want (if you got another job).

You can’t take another job during the nonworking notice but you can during severance.
