@ab
because there is a compliance part to the job too and a bit of legal.
compliance is the biggest part, though, our sales teams aren't exactly angels
FP&A is by far the most bloated.. always a pain working with them - getting 4 people in a reporting consolidations org asking the same question in a slightly different way to consolidate data into "reporting" that will be misread up to a VP for a poor decision as they try to pass it off as their own findings. Baffling how long FP&A has been able to stay so HC heavy vs other orgs in finance that try to add value, build and help other teams
Skylab is real. AI will take over non customer facing roles. Simply as this
@a3 VP man, you sound little bitter you aren't in a Hub
sorry but AI will not take over everything. If you think that then you're a mo--n and clearly don't write code or build reports (yeah you excel report pusher) top 5 growing industries is big data, business intelligence, data science etc. Yah, Dan is bit on Automation/AI but that doesn't mean you no longer have developers. The prompts you feed AI is just as good as the person doing that-- and if you know ANYTHING about development work-- AI ain't there yet. So yeah, you can have it write you stuff that normally you would need python for BUT AI can't automate everything. If you ain't an actual developer then pls STFU cause you don't know sh-t.
Yes for sure. Fp&a hopefully bears the brunt (way over staffed) but accountint will too even tho they are already very lean
@a1
When will people like you stop digging these AI fairy tails from their butts??
Time to clean up that mess in basking ridge FP&A with all those duplicated work going on yet. At least 20 heads can be chopped there.
All depts will be impacted....
And no, not all functions can be automated....quit the fearmongering
I don’t know but these functions can be automated. We do not need people creating reports or doing accounting in 2025
It makes me sad that how AI will take over almost everything..
Who knows we can hire AI CEO ? We do not need Dan either
