One more time I am telling across the organization, the cut will be close to 20 to 25K (Because they don't know AI) not 11K as you see in the media presently

@es Absolutely to become a CEO and Leadership we require that kind of stupid (Cunning) brain to blame the failure on the employees and sending them out, great tactics. Latest update upskilling to AI Technology is not sufficient, every one should be Certified in AI

Just amazing, indeed you are so smart, you should be the next CEO.

We are an Oil based company from Houston and we are heavily on SAP,GTM,GTS and RightAngle. Last week our team went and discussed with ACN Leadership, how to bring AI to our client, Leadership said we have to replace the complete SAP landscape with AI, we bought AI from walmart and on Monday morning we are replacing SAP with AI. AI is doing a fantastic job and cost is cheaper to $7 for each T-shirt. We are going to same millions of dollars to our client and we all will be promoted as Janitors from next week (We just follow the gospel of Julie, AI means AI - if you dont have walmart check in $1 shop, you will get it)

I am unsure if CEO job description includes practical use/development of AI? Do you think it is? Her job is not to ensure she is well liked, but to ensure the company she is managing follows the lead. Of course I am on a project where specific AI tool has been developed and it is being trained. It appears like you think you are the only person in the room with all the knowledge. Instead of trashing Julie, you might want to share your solutions. You never know, you might get hired for your skills, but please go ahead, share with us.

@c7

If you don't mind, I am going to quote you:

"When Julie & TEAM (Leadership, MDS and others) unable to perform their duties but blame the poor employees, so strange."

Indeed, this is precisely the issue. Blaming the people and insulting them with "cannot be trained" is not nice, demoralizing, and quite frankly just a way to deflect the blame.

Someone joked (or at least we took it as a joke) that the CEO took an AI crash course. Essentially, the message is, the very CEO knows nothing about AI.

The message "cannot be trained" could damage laid off ACN folks and make it difficult for them to find other jobs, as it could trigger thoughts such as "hmmm... cannot be trained?", is it that they are not smart, not collaborative, not... what?)"... etc... It opens to questions.

That's all we wanted to say, my husband and I are scratching our heads about how they have been messaging the current layoffs...

@bf

Are you related to Julie and feel like defending her?

You do understand that what you wrote is NOT how successful companies work?

"Oh, she was saying AI for a year, and it's your fault employees that you didn't do something, anything, about AI".

Do you even know what AI is and how ill-defined it has been? Do you understand that AI has many definitions and many applications and ir is the job of the leadership of a company to prepare employees for the type of AI they think they will be using and selling in the future?

NONE of that happened. You know why? Because leadership is UNPREPARED, has no strategy and nows nothing about what AI really is. Mrs Sweet is a corporate lawyer with no understanding of technology. The fact that she has been generically saying "AI" and "need to prepare" means NOTHING.

Incredible, just incredible what one has to read.

But you are aware of the fact that cuts are going to affect high number of managers? In this case, let us wait and see how these cuts go. If your project is not using AI, just take some trainings on MyLearning page. However, if your project is using / developing AI tools and is underperforming because people choose not to use it, the cuts should be focused there.

@bf If a project(client) is not using AI then First Demand the Client to use AI otherwise we should exit out of the proejct, we are all special workers with specified skil set say like an "ABC", but when a new technology arrives XYZ" equal responsibility with the management to inform the employees that they have to upskill to the new Technology XYZ and how the management will help to achieve that skill set, if that is not achieved then the employee has to go thru the consequences, nothing like that happened. When Julie & TEAM (Leadership, MDS and others) unable to perform their duties but blame the poor employees, so strange.

This time it is AI Technology 25K gone, next year it will be Drone Technology so 50K will be gone, we have to bite this management bullet everyyear and go thru this pain

The whole issue is with the Unskilled MDs, Leadership guys that have no idea about technology, proect, people but only focussing on THEIR Bonus

Have you seen a Stone Age tool like Myscheduling? Only these people talk about AI ?? Shame on them

This is exactly why I have been saying, people upskill. Once more, Julie is being criticized for no reason. For at least a year now she has been openly talking about AI being the "thing" the "objective" and "main focus". Why are you surprised? I am shocked beyond point of disbelief that this has not been done before. What I can say from experience, many people choose not to use AI and performance of whole projects can be endangered because of this. This is not impacting older employees, where age is concerned, young bright people openly say, they do not feel like using it. Once more I am saying, upskill in AI and use it in daily work.
