Thread regarding Gartner Inc. layoffs

Continuous layoffs since January. It's been 5-10 here and there and continues.

Why have these not been reported? The number of layoffs in 2026 alone are staggering but when done a handful at a time it just seems shady.

@OP are they trying to avoid triggering a WARN?

From what I am hearing internally, it seems executives are somewhat in denial that AI will have an impact on services offered. Exec management thinks economy will turn around and spend will be back. Over 15 large investor firms have dumped Gartner since 2025. The Gartner execs need to “Ask Gartner” for what that means - LOL

Finishing comment....It is shady. With all the investor and reporting issues, execs seeming like they want to just run Gartner into the ground with ki-ling off research, pushing AskGarter (which is terrible) and running clients off, getting rid of anyone who has an inkling on how it all works, etc. Then, not reporting on layoffs and keeping them small and quiet just continues to serve the execs and trick investors.

It is shady. Execs looking to make as much money as possible before they shutter the org.
