@db+1k it does carry weight...but they are treating as if we are not technical :-)

Going to trade school to learn HVAC because I’m sick and tired of tech and the corporate world.

Many months searching and nothing yet. Nike on the resume doesn’t carry the weight it used to.

Was laid off in April with everyone else.
Hoping to land something around last paycheck!

Haven't been this happy in years, laughing all the way to the bank. Thanks for the bonus PK, def. beats PSP!

@OP Principal level, long term Nike employee here. Laid off in April. Starting new role in a completely different industry the week I am no longer on the Nike payroll- week after next. Slightly less pay but excited about work for the first time in a decade. Took a dozen custom resumes for different job applications, first round interviews for four of them, and second round interviews for two.

200+ custom crafted resumes, five states targeted, three interviews. Six recruiters have reached out and denied each time. Staffing companies just want the sign up but nothing to follow.

Basically over 50, no in development work, senior level with tons of experience. No bites.

Plenty of low dollar offers close to minimum wage though.

The market demand for experienced individuals is high, resulting in almost weekly landing interviews. However, the progression is slow due to the two to three-month wait times for big companies to fill roles. Despite this, interviews have been relatively easy to secure, and recruiters have been actively reaching out.

I feel good being gone with the promising opportunities out there!

i got laid off. Attended 7-8 interviews and market looks optimistic for super technical folks. One got to offer letter stage, 2-3 got rejections obviously because of working in a stupid company for long and 3-4 are still going on. only stupid thing is some companies taking coding tests for even 20+ years experience guys in technology.
