Honestly thought they would have dropped the axe months ago at this point. My IM rating was out of nowhere. I knew they basically cut everyone who wasn’t doing anything at all at this point and now have to find others to slash. Haven’t heard any concerns from my boss about performance since the year end review but am still expecting another bad rating based on what thier new process is. I’m guessing I have until September at the latest until they finally pull the trigger but just curious about everyone’s thoughts. Can’t wait until they finally do it and I never come back to this board again.

the IM is a stain that stays with you for three performance cycles. meaning - at any time in the 18 months after you get IM, if there is a selection to reduce staff, they look at the last three performance cycles - e.g. MY/YE/MY or YE/MY/YE
if you get a second IM in a row - you should treat that as paid pre-notice - the management guidance is 2 IMs then terminate.
30% IM last cycle. The reality is, it wasn't your work product, your managers (multiple layers) don't like you. So cool that your work product isn't the issue, they will still let you go first, they don't like you as a person, and life ain't fair. Work you could fix, them not liking your personality is a done deal.
I got the same IM. still here, and actually have gotten nothing but positive feedback lately. Whether or not the real higher ups care, we'll find out. I honestly dont worry about it. I would think the decent mid-year review i expect, even if just a check in, resets everything.
july
that is the big cut
so not qualify for bonus
Stay until you got axed. Do not quit without getting .Severance.
same IM. still here
I'm similar to @OP meets mid year, "you're that guy" end of year. Was actually going to get laid off in March, but another group asked for me since they were short after cuts and resignations. Was being fed through the new performance management grinder until I got the "maybe" pre-notice about being laid off in Q3.
There's no rhyme or reason.
@OP Sympathies go out to all employees having to deal with this outright disgusting work environment that now seems to be the norm in today’s American workplace WTF has happened to cause such madness with Employers pitted against their Employees, each trying to out fox the other creating the question, “What are all customers of these companies getting in return for their business dollars”? It’s sheer madness!
