Thread regarding BD (Becton Dickinson & Co.) layoffs

Denise, please do everyone a favor and quit already.

Denise, I hope you're listening and reading the feedback from sites like TheLayoff. It should come as no surprise that BD employees are fed up with the non-sense and your incoherent babbling in the townhalls acting like you understand anything that's going on in the company. Shame on you for perpetuating the dysfunction of the greater IT organization and trying to spin it as "BD excellence". Your recognition means nothing. Please do us all a favor and leave ASAP.

@OP Anyone who has heard her talk for 5 mins will know this is a joke to check the ID&E box for BD. The fact a company our size can't even do the most basic IT stuff automatically (e.g. create term tickets for term workers, create / build laptops for hires, etc) - We want to go to market and compete w/ the big med techs, yet behind the scene we run the company with 19th century technology. Then let's add hundreds of BD excellence roles to cover up our inefficiencies - let's call it op ex. That's BD way of excellence for you.

@OP I listened to her at the last town hall and I was embarrassed for her she was completely off the mark with a question that was asked .. TP had to step in and actually answer it because she just didn’t get it.. I think TP likes to hear people who don’t challenge him , people he can control and don’t cause problems for him .. she seems to fit the criteria well

@aj the worst ones are the incompetent business partners with the fat titles and job groups who have no concept or no freakin clue what the business is using in terms of systems and for what purpose. They’re a partner to a business yet they don’t understand their customer all they do is give me ur business case and I will submit it for you to the 10,000 meetings we have in IT to talk about nothing. Let’s not forget that a bunch of these useless business partners are the ITLP’s now known as EDGE in other words kids that were hired out of college and HAVE to be promoted aggressively or else the program is seen as a failure .. one loser after another. The last time someone tried to play games I said I will walk over to Denise’s office right now and let her know about your incompetence and how useless you are to me as a business partner and I wasn’t kidding. I will go to your boss’s boss’s boss Denise straight.

TGS is a great place to work if you just want to coast, get an impressive title, and not actually have to deliver anything. I honestly don’t know how the org hasn’t been completely outsourced by now. I’ve never seen a place with such a low bar. There is a drastic disparity between the frustrated few who have real skills, knowledge, and experience to the majority who literally pretend and skate by every day. TGS is loaded with people who just look busy and do nothing meaningful. They go through emails, attend meetings, and chat on Teams all day. I actually admire the ones who don’t even try to hide it. They never bother coming to the office and just go about their personal lives. They join calls here and there, send a few emails, but that’s about it. At least they don’t try to mislead anyone. lol. Then there’s the ones who constantly travel unnecessarily to build up frequent flier miles and get away from their families. They’re easy to identify lol. The CIO is a reflection of the quality of the organization as a whole. I stay here for the entertainment at this point and hope for a package.
