@gg he and the Shiny AI HR made it Super clear, we the panel don’t care, employees are d-mb and we will LAY YOU OFF under the board of TimeZone, Globalization of cheaper labor.
Wonder what the next layoff will look like. Based on Joe Russo's last GN&T All Hands meeting, he is clearly NOT a proponent of the Voluntary Separation Package (VSP) vs targeted layoffs/RIFs designated by the company.
Thoughts?
@ed It’s much better to have one large layoff and be able to truthfully announce that we’re done for the foreseeable future so the remaining employees can regain a sense of normalcy and focus on the task at hand.
But what do I know? I’m not AI and I don’t run on NVIDIA silicon 😉
@e9 agreed, but I wonder if this is the sort of thing Joe Russo was talking about when he said we’d have precision layoffs. I think the new strategy might be small, weekly cuts. Little cuts don’t rile everyone up and they don’t make the news.
@OP I know logic has little relevance to the decision making process at VZ but it would be illogical to have layoffs in a single region and especially so soon after the last round.
