Has anybody here worked at AT&T? I might have a chance to make the switch, but reading through their page here makes it seem like I’d just be jumping from the frying pan into the fire. I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone with firsthand experience before I make the decision.

Spent 22 years at AT&T. Things are REALLY bad at Verizon right now, sure. But it was worse there
guy down the street works for ATT and it is no better. Last I spoke with him, he was waiting for Medicare to kick in this fall. He's been going to the office 5x a week since end of 2021 (that s*cks). ATT also cut a lot of the retirement benefits but he's grandfathered in.
Go work for the feds on the golden dome project aka Star Wars 2.0 - 300 - 400 billion project and good thing it's part of the black budget. Get to integrate some cool stuff. AT&T also know as the the US Government!!! Space is the new thing!
AT&T is the same sh-t, except 5 days in office instead of 3. I turned down an offer with a 28% increase because it wasn't worth it. Get out of traditional telecom is my advice.
I believe you have to work in Dallas at AT&T
Spent 6 years there. Depends on the manager, VP, group and time. Things ebb and flow.
I'd say we are a better place to work at (in aggregate).
This does not account for a fact that ur VZ mgr may be an a-hole. I knew some good Mgrs and Dirs at AT&T.
@OP nope
If it’s a union position take it. If not, you are still a hostage to at will employment
@OP Decades ago AT&T used to be a good company to work for. Comparing the new AT&T to Verizon is basically comparing Southwestern Bell to Bell Atlantic. It’s a tie.
I worked for At&T in the past. Just as bad probably worst.
If you want less nonsense and less politics, less layoffs, consider a small company.
No. Trust me, you don't need more than a simple 'no.'
