Many people post on here about where is all the work going to go with layoffs? None of this has been addressed since VSP 1.0.. We were wasting so much money of useless “projects”, meetings, reviews, slide decks, paralysis by analysis, that the thousands and thousands of people RIF’d have made no significant impact to progress. VZ is changing and those useless projects will all cease once the gutting is done. It’s unnecessary work and those doing to work will not be replaced. The end of VZ as we knew it is happening in front of us, daily. Su-ks, but that’s reality when you are up to your eyeballs in debt and only answer to analysts and shareholders.

Shocking how tone deaf a leader can be. If you don’t have a real pulse on your org, please have the decency to stop the babble.
Just don’t hold a call at all. Truly. We beg of you.
Start with actual 1:1's or skip levels or - here's a thought- at least stop stating publicly you don't "care" if we have half the resources (i.e. humans.)
How did people leaders turn into yes men with no ability to stand up for what is right?
@by We still need to get cross channel alignment though, so let's setup more faux syncs where we present faux decks. Then we can "move" on "hotlist" items, while pretending not to see the insane amount of ego battles to say "look how fast we executed" .... on the pointless thing that's going to be obsolete ... that we wasted money on... but we needed those 40 lines so ....

This is shocking to read accusations of useless work! We need a tiger team assigned to this first thing tomorrow to gather information, put it in a deck, review the deck, format the deck, extend the timelines, update the deck, review the deck, format the deck, extend the timelines, and reorganize and repeat the cycle. We also need McKinsey to be paid millions to duplicate work also being done by the Tiger team. Let’s put our top leaders well versed in CYA and finger pointing to bring this project home too. Proud to be vz!
@OP the difference is now we're doing more useless work but with AI. So instead of feeding actual human beings, we are feeding oligarchs who amassed billions by running unprofitable AI companies with sky high valuations which in consequence pay huge amounts of money for overpriced RAM and NPUs/GPUs to Asian manufacturers

@OP I agree that there’s a lot of waste and that many employees have repeatedly advanced their careers thanks to wasteful projects that were sold as game changers. Do you think that the employees who have benefited from this are going to suddenly fess up? Or that Dan & company are going to figure out which projects have good ROI and which ones are wasteful on their own? I seriously doubt it.
