Thread regarding SAP layoffs

SAPPHIRE Rebrand company now S-AI-P

As SAPPHIRE '26 wraps up, look for merch and rebranding swag being given away. The company is now SAIP! All in on AI.

A yet still weirder acronym than SAP ... so I checked on its meaning:

Systems Acquisition and Implementation Program?
Substance Abuse Intervention Program?

God, I miss J White's marketing genius.

lol . Every year we have to buy a company . That transaction makes sure that sap money is moved to the pockets of sap management . We buy for 5.2 billion . I am sure there will be kickbacks back to sap management like 50 million each Or so . You are all naive here

What of note did J White do besides bring over a ton of over priced, over hyped Microsoft cronies? The marketing leadership now are her disciples. Her legacy.

We don't need to be J White to be a marketing genius. But yeah, she was really good.

How about Slowly Applying Important Patches? It's apt coming from someone in P&E.
Or Small Adjustments, Incomplete Projects if you talk to our big customers.
Or Surprisingly Awkward Integration Problems if you talk to any RISE customer.
Or if you ask Consulting, they'd say Scripting Around Impossible Processes.

In any case, our current marketing is a dud. There's no way SAP comes back from this unless CK is gone and the useless executives and group executives are gone.
