I watched both the earnings call and the CEO's all hands and the message from both was pretty positive. Nothing like the message he conveyed right before the big layoff back in November. I'm thinking things look good until at least November.

My takeaway from the call is that Dan believes the market has approved of the actions since he took over and there will be more of the same. RIF next week.
@a4 To be regarded a visionary implies having a vision and a strategy. Can YOU tell me what their vision is besides pocketing bonuses tied to the stock performance?
All we have witnessed so far are tactics & maneuvers to increase the stock price with financial engineering:
- riding the market hype
- layoffs -> less expenses
- constant dividend growth
- limiting the supply side with buybacks which boosts EPS
Red flags:
- high debt
- high earnings payout ratio: 66%
- company buy backs shares and issues them to management
A vision is something totally different. Visions usually inspire. Example: if he said: We plan Verizon owned LEO satellites by 2030 and we actively work with NASA to offer our broadband services on the Moon.

I agree with the OP. Dan and Alfonso are visionaries. Anyone that doesn’t see that is blind.
