@sw Depends a lot on what part of the business you are in. It seeems like anyone in CAI or those assocaited BEs are safe (at least until Aug)

Quiet layoffs starting in May with Armageddon happening in August after fy26 close. Bank on it.

Hey! Just wanted to confirm that there aren't any layoffs, and we're actually getting some new people joining us. Believe me! You can check back on this comment after May 15th to see.

It’s approaching earnings so you get the 🤡🤡 commentators predicting 20-30% cuts, which are obviously rubbish. But this time, I’m getting rumours from serious people that are minting BIG numbers for some business units.
Given the gullibility of our execs for all things AI, this time I think it might be true.

I've got 30% from the gentleman here on the left. Any other bids? Do I hear 35% over there? 40%? Let's keep those bids coming. I have 90%. Yes, 90% ladies and gentlemen! Mr Robbins thank you so much for this very generous offer, you won't be disappointed!

@OP is spot on. 30% is what his org was told to jettison. Other orgs will be more and less, depending on profitability.
Outshift and AppD type orgs are at serious risk vs Switching and AI related DC.

have heard similar numbers and will depend on group how deep. 30 is likely for underperforming orgs

Senior Exec told you to look for a role ? You sound like a G8 at most. Nobody is talking to low grades like you let alone sharing anything with you

Just need 10% of engineers to fix broken code...

Unless something changed drastically the vast majority of Cisco's development budget went to bug fixing. As a customer I'd like to more bodies of far greater talent knocking down technical debt.

30% is a desperation move which would destroy the stock price. I could see 3500-7000.

Just need 10% of engineers to fix broken code since there is no innovation.

Cut sales in half and be partner led sales

it won't be good for cisco customers, when they cut 30% usually they cut people doing real work(muscles) and retain most of the fat. Its better to do 5% over 6 times.

@a3 100% agree with you!!!

Cisco has too much bloat.

I would not be surprised. I would say Cisco can layoff at least 60% its workforce and it would not hurt its business. Maybe it would even help 🙄
