Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

I need to be honest

Working at Mondelez is making me sick. Not metaphorically. Actually sick. The stress, the harassment, the constant toxicity, it's affecting my health. And I'm not alone. Good employees are leaving every week. I've heard from people in the industry, nobody respects this company anymore. And they certainly don't respect the people who work here. The way we're treated is awful. Harassment is normal. Bullying is standard. This place is toxic from top to bottom and it's taking a real physical toll on the people stuck here.

Believe me I know exactly how you feel. I spent 13 years in the vendor world between Keebler, here and reset team and lemme tell you when mission 1 took over this became the worst of them all. It used to be the lesser to the 3 evils but it quickly became my worst nightmare. I was loaded with work all day long that was impossible to get done, constantly had to deal with empty threats, store management that basically get away with mu---r and it made me go from being happy most of the time to a level of being pi---d off that I never felt before in my life and I still feel this way even though I don’t work here anymore it’s just I never was able to fully recover from burnout since I had to keep working too many bills and rent is too damn high.

@1az haha, think you missed the mark there! Knock yourself out and kick a@& like you call it, you’ll be in the same place! This organization doesn’t people from within! All the “rising stars” around here, all work other places now! Only the managers that can’t get hired on elsewhere are still around. Our pathetic DM is so burned out but so useless no other company will hire him, he’s been looking for 10 plus years. Mondelez on your resume now, a huge red flag! Didn’t use to be that way.

Bro you know if you're good at your job this company wants to keep you in the same position. If your young hot blonde (rising star) they'll want to promote you so the creeps can be around you more.

@pq Only management has it good!! Of course you think we have it good because you sit at home all day and forward a couple emails so yea you have it good but nobody else does. The only people that get promoted are the ones that kiss a-s so I'm sure you are a pro at that but that's not who I am

@pq I'll keep under ordering so I have less work to do and to prevent lazy management like you from getting your bonuses 😆

I agree. Once I stopped caring everything got better. I don't even look at daily sales anymore. I don't sell anything at all!

@j2 just do what we do…ignore them! Ask for things in writing. When you have a miss on your objective, go real high to make sure your DM misses as well. Tell em “you’re doing the best you can”! It’s kinda fun and easy when you stop caring!

Oh yeah, then they create more useless positions like “market trainer”, another person to come hover over you and see how you coach and sell, probably with a bigger wage than us people that do the real work…let’s waste some more money Mondelez

My DM is a condescending, insulting pr--k. That does nothing but send emails and tells us what we need to get done and this needs to get done or we’ll be replaced. If you don’t have rollback displays up at every freaking Walmart, pictures done, meetings, attended, taking care of the stuff that nobody else does….. meanwhile sits at home and does nothing , but I’m supposed to get two rollback displays up on every Walmart i have even they don’t even want one. Then push push push for the month into stores that aren’t selling for sh-t, So they can collect bonus from sitting at home with their feet up. Can’t stand this job anymore

Yup, I agree. I recently just left the company after 16 years as a full-time order writer. Even though I had some good stores, it couldn't make up for the stress. Workload, and constant text meassges about trax needed to be done. And to make sure you get this on display. What really did it was my schedule. The job I have now ended up being the same take home pay at mondelez. I may lose at bonuses and my pto time. But its worth it. I

Agree with everything being said, could actually say that it’s started going down the wrong path when Mondelez spin out of Kraft. Kraft had good employee standards and took care of its people!
I’d add that it may be helpful to contact the BI hotline and file a complaint when harassing and then retaliatory behavior takes place. Call everyday if you need! At least you have a paper trail.

@OP thank you. I think you have accurately portrayed the working life at Mondelez. I know no SRs that are happy. I’ve been here 18 years and it’s become miserable in the last 2 to 3 years.

Been like this for 3 years. I just block out all the noise and collect my paycheck. Whenever I find something else I'll leave but your best option is too just ignore everything your DM says and stop caring

Spot on! It's reached the point it's embarrassing and humiliating to work here.

Anyone that says quit then can STFU! People stay working at sh---y, toxic places all the time for a variety of reasons, they leave as soon as they can.
