I usually have my 1:1 every other Wednesday. My manager schedule 1:1 for tomorrow. Should I be concerned?

@eg 1:1 are a check a box. I was a manager working my tail off with one lead for a large team. 90% of the staff are meeting metrics consistently. Some exceed. Customers are happy with our work. I got a meets standard.
Last year I tried a new trick, I asked at every 1:1 about my performance, was there any concerns, how can I improve, discussed accomplishments. Were told all was fine, no concerns, no suggestions. I sent an email after every 1:1 summarizing what was discussed and did I get it right. No response. No suggestions.
When I got my evaluation I was told I need to think about my professional growth (whatever that means), try new things, you get the idea. When I asked why none of this was ever discussed all year and I have the emails to prove it. I was asked if I needed to think if I was a good fit?
My last day was 2 weeks after my evaluation. I got the message.
Respond to the 1:1 asking if there’s anything you can prep for in advance. If there’s no response, there’s your answer.
I'm surprised your department still has those. We have not had any in a long time.
The last 2 rif's that I'm aware of were on a Tuesday.
with everything going on - everyone should be gathering copies of documents you may need to their personal email so if you are RIF you are not sc--wed. Determine what you need - and be proactive now rather than wish you were
Yes…. Be cautious
@OP I wouldn't be. If you're getting the axe, they usually pop a meeting on to your calendar at the last minute.
They might have a dental appointment and had to reschedule. I wouldn't be worried based off of that alone. Good luck to you. My fingers will be crossed.
