After the cluster fu-k of the POD model rollout and people assignment over the last few moths, linked into the UKI time tracking switch and PODs looking into billing costs, people aligned to the PODs are being told they can no longer book time to those WBS codes and to find one elsewhere… I know of at least 5 people this has happened too today, leads me to think the WFR bus is starting its engine again

@OP this happened to me. I was using a valid billable WBS code for client related account work. My CTM warned me I'd been flagged because the WBS is not billable (??), and so technically I was off account, unassigned. The account PM two days later asked me to take on some additional work, told them I needed a billable WBS code before I'd start, 18 days later still no booking codes.
@1t0 It's so inconsistent. I've not had any real work for about 6 months now. The odd answer a question. I'll not fight a layoff - just give me the money, and take your steam powered laptop which I use as a doorstop back.
@1t0 no action from trade union because no workers IN trade union to take action.
Yes, I got the redundancy letter this week. DXC layoff all workers when project completed. No pay-rise 3 years and i feel being DXC co---m. No idea why no action from trade union. The whole industries should be blacklist this company on bidding projects and make it collapse.
@1gn most of the graduates they take on these days (the only way they can get people to join the company) have a higher salary than most of the current employees
@1gd Why is DXC keeping people on the bench. Is it because they know they have them on stupidly low salaries which they will never be able to match again. The reality however for me is they can either pay me to go. Or when they actually have a job. I will have forgotten how to do it! I'm pretty such it would have been cheaper to let me go when I volunteered but got rejected.
@17z There are quite a few CES types who've been on the bench for the best part of a year, and there aren't any jobs coming, so even if it's not been announced yet I do forsee WFR in that area too.
@np Yes you left 3 years ago. Clearly can't get DXC out of your head. That says a lot. And to top it all are posting on a bank holiday - get a life!!!
Well the fall out from the London Markets digital transformation debacle means even the golden haired child of DXC, Insurance is running a WFR program. So that's GIS & ISB, which just leaves CES. Anyone heard about CES?
Oh stop already , you don’t like the way you are treated, then man up and change employment
I did in January 2023 , 4 cost of living increases , more holiday allowance than I know what to do with, earning more than I was at DXC
I'm surprised they haven't done the 20% wfr realised by "ai savings"... Not because that's true but simply to make it look like it might be true.
You heard it here first.
I’ve heard end of June for WFR
I do question what some people are doing. There's a balance between having people available and how much there actually is to do. But get it wrong the clients complain and take their business elsewhere.
Meaningless POD or group names don't help get the work to the right people.
WFR is what a lot want. It offered for most it's going to be the right choice. If nothing else for your mental health!
Can concur heard the same for WFR in UK and APAC.
Considering the size of the restructure, it was only a matter of time.
Surely some sort of ethical question needs to be asked around pulling staff together into the POD and then telling them to look elsewhere for booking codes, What are they meant to do? Also book time from when, April 1st? Sounds very fishy
