Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

At Will Employment

There’s this thing called “At Will Employment”. It’s an HR policy that is downplayed or not even mentioned. It’s standard across companies, especially for non-executives, like everyone on this site.

I recommend all Nike FTEs to get familiar with that policy. Just search the HR site. The sooner you accept that policy the better off your career will be.

Nike has only one HR code: a toxic environment that breeds narcissism and those with an identity crisis who scream for validation. Those are the ones who remain employed. The rest either get let go or leave on their own, with or without other jobs.

@OP

We really needed a corporate simp to act as their mouthpiece today. Thank God you came along when you did.

Everything is so much better now...

Reading "at will" and understanding "I can abuse you as much as I want" is soooooo Indian coded. Most Americans understand it means we can leave a job whenever we want, without 2 weeks notice even

Nike can do layoffs or fire employees, and employees can quit… this isn’t news or some sort of profound insight. I’m pretty sure the people coming to this site are well aware that Nike can terminate their contracts. It’s sort of in the name of the site, in case you missed that.

@OP aka HR is that your way of saying that Nike can abuse employees and then use the “at will” justification? You are one of the b**tlickers. At all costs don’t trust Nike HR!! Go to a lawyer, EEOC or BOLI! Nike HR does not care about you! They protect the company. If you go to them you WILL have a target that reads “at will employment” on your back and you will be the first to be let go in a RIF!
