When was this 1975? Of course you did because there wasn’t the technology. Why would we go back to this?? Boomer

But considering the silver lining...
"Inconsistently meets" implies "does not always not meet"
So you're saying there's a chance!
In NorCal, it's "BART".
In SoCal, it's "The BART".
@10n oops yes, you are correct. finger-brain hiccup - BART is indeed heavy rail. SF Muni is light rail.
@kh I agree in most respects except that BART is heavy rail, not light rail. It has an electrified third rail, is entirely grade separated, and is wider gauge (i e., more space between the rails) than typical American rail systems, light or heavy. Thus other local rail operators (Amtrak, Caltrain) cannot use BART tracks. BART risks being severely scaled back because Bay Area workers still remain in their homes as if it’s 2020 and COVID remains a lethal, highly contagious virus with no vaccine to stop it.
You'll get 'inconsistently meets' at mid-year and year end and out. No severance for you.
OP must be regretting posting the BART post and also attacking boomers to boot.
@h0 only by folks who aren't from here, and don't understand the definition of a "proper name"
Proper names don't have a "the" in front of them.
you say "I'm going to the airport". you don't say "I'm going to the LAX". You say "I'm taking the train" not "I'm taking the Metro North" or "I'm taking the NJ transit"
BART is a proper name name for a light rail system.
“BART” is referred to as “The BART” all the time in SF, more frequently than just “BART.”
What?
These cranky pants are probably the people who still think the name "Frisco" is an insult.
Herb Cain is long dead and gone, get over it.
@f5 yeah eyeroll when I hear that.
Why the Boomer Bash?
One person who identifies as a Boomer says take control of your life.
That isnt a Boomer message. That is a common sense message that anyone can make. It just came from a Boomer. So what? It's F'in true.
DF mentions riding the BART is a good thing and right away gets called out as a Boomer.
It's just an opinion. So what? He isn't a Boomer. Nor is CS.
Boomers are gyay. Nice. Just nice.
Just because it does't fit a narrative or understanding, it's Boomer.
Yeah, I'm a Boomer and don't go around bashing GenX, Millennials. or GenZ just because they do and say stupid sh8t.
Why do they do it to Boomers?
@c5 or call the city San Fran, obvious give away
BART is great, for giving yourself hearing damage from riding it through the trans-bay tube.
"The BART" - tell me you're not from SF without telling me you're not from SF
troll that likes to rile up the bay area folks
jealous I guess.
it’s not called The Bart
Who says I was whining? I only have one post in the thread prior to this one.
Yeah the wonderful BART system, where they stopped releasing video of criminals so they wouldn’t appear racist. Your life is in danger every time you ride it. Leadership is so out of touch with the real world now.

Brilliant insight, but I'm afraid that I'll have to reject your simplistic worldview and continue to be an actively disengaged employee right here at AT&T. Super sad if you don't like it.
Maybe a few days off of those boot polish fumes can restore a few of your IQ points. Can you handle that, or is the su-king up too deeply ingrained for you to stop now?
Have a nice weekend, sweetie 😘
Take control of that boot hanging out of your mouth first
Why on Earth would I leave without my severance? Not going to happen.
@OP. Boomer here. Take control of your life and leave.
@a2
No they won't. You missed a step.
- They torment you to quit.
- If #1 doesn't work, they will performance you out.
- If #1 and #2, doesn't work , THEN they will pay.
They definitely want to get rid of the bay area employees, but it's a huge amount of severance. They will spend the next several years tormenting people to motivate them to quit instead. If that doesn't work, they'll bite the bullet and pay.
You're right. We should fix it by laying everyone off in the Bay area.
