Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

More with less again

I'm so tired of this cr-p. They keep layering on expectations while continuing to shrink support. At some point, the math just stops working. I'm done even trying. I might get fired, but I'm not a magician. It is what it is.

We all need to NOT put in extra effort when they do this. They'll keep reducing staff and not care about burning folks out.

Ask your manager to prioritize your tasks, and leave after your 8 hours.

They didn't want to be flexible about WFH, now we need to push back and not be flexible in their direction. But be sure to act like you're sorry that you have commitments outside of work that you have to take care of.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. People on our team care too much and the "leader in name only" seems to be using our department as the fall guy for another department they manage and their lack of cross training and understanding their core functions. It's an absolute mess.

It's not worth the stress and nothing is getting done about it. This leader is allergic to accountability but I think eventually the other shoe will drop and the common denominator will catch up. And it is so unfortunate.

Polish up that resume. Find an exit strategy and just do what you're expected to do per the procedures. Don't do any more than you're supposed to.

Ahh, yes. Now you're on the Truist career path. As soon as you stop producing, then you'll be appreciated and up for promotion. So get rid of your morals, miss all your deadlines, pass the buck, throw people under the bus, and slack like the rest of the company, especially middle management. Don't give up! Well...in this case, give up! You might even become AVP by next quarter!
