$249

Look out below. Market has lost faith in Arvind and Jim's financial engineering shenanigans.

Let's try "Agile" again!? Maybe "Design Thinking"!? Oh, and don't forget about "CAMSS"!! Yeah, that all worked wonders last time around!

Despite what IBM likes to tell the market about Quantum and other fantasies, IBM's entire business revolves around Z hardware, Z software, and Consulting on Z HW/SW.

Anthropic's announcement marks the end of that Consulting business. No need to hire armies of consultants to "modernize" ancient COBOL into Java and Python, their tool will do it. And once it's done, say goodbye to the Z HW/SW because that new code will get replatformed from Z to Intel.

Maybe they can do another acquisition. That 1D1OT Monkey of a CFO Krabanaugh and that Sh1t for brains CEO Alvind love paying way above.

@ak: Working at IBM, stopped buying IBM shares through ESPP (discount is not worth the risk). Liquidated all IBM shares I owned when share price moved above $300. Liquidated all the RSU vested shares too.
Made a decent gain from shares held over the years.
I do not think IBM has any future worth investing in it.

@ak made me laugh big time as your post was marked AK. Arvind is that really you in here?! Is RT Robbie Thomas right next to you? SMH.

I never question why the IBM stock goes down, I only question why it ever went up.

I just don't understand the hatred for IBM... You guys must all have been laid off from IBM and are holding a grudge... is that it?

@a2 SP500 over last month is down a little over 2%. IBM over the last month is down over 22%. Not a "whole market" issue at all.

@a2: Keep dreaming. Reality hits harder. IBM has nothing worth to offer.

Ì believe IBM is caught in the downdraft of service providers getting repriced due to AI’s influence. Certainly Kyndryl, Accenture, etc etc have all been caught in the downdraft.

The whole market is crashing because of uncertainty about Trump’s tariffs… it has nothing to do with financial engineering or anything else… it is time to accumulate all these tech stocks, including IBM and laugh all the way to the bank by the end if the year.
