Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Why bother staying?

What's the point of staying when there's no reward for it? No promotion, no raise, just more work. I'd almost rather get the layoff call at this point and take the money to leave this thankless place behind.

One with skills can make tons more money outside the company. Everybody I know who left, got more money and are very happy.

If money is your goal, exit asap.

@j2 We're not allowed to talk to the client. They might learn how bad it is! They've more or less stopped even asking us! By the time a manager has reviewed our reply and approved it, the need it long gone over to a competitor.

@bp this is the best approach. I've been doing the same except my side gig takes up more time. I just have DXC for the benefits and 401k since I'm in the US. Easy money and I just tell the client the truth about this place so they love that as well and don't blame me.

More of the same from me. I run a successful side hustle and effectively double my salary. Both tasks are part time work. I'd go spare if all I had to do was wait for an email I sent 2 weeks ago to be responded to so that I can continue. The place is badly managed. But I'll take the payment until it's no longer on offer. I've stopped trying to make it all work better. Nobody listens, nobody cares.

@ad Well said. I can certainly second that summary. I’m studying for my next job and doing this in DXC time, getting paid for the pleasure as well. Years of employee neglect has led to this so I’m out of here when the time is right. I’m on a project that is so poorly run that no manager cares. As long as my timesheets get done and it’s to a billable code, that’s all DXC care about.
