@f0 that is a very fancy way of saying that those sounds that you hear are the hoofbeats of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. They are drastically reducing staff. They are lowering performance expectations while still pursuing other businesses or contracts. Sounds like something a McKinsey consultant would compose. There is always money to polish the brand, but never enough for solid compensation with bonuses and benefits that protect front line employee assets instead of draining them.

@et previously, there were "quick huddles" to announce layoffs. Not who was "impacted,' just announcements that layoffs had occurred. Not even that?
@e8 the craziest part is that it's just silent in the company. Nobody would know it was happening unless we were on a site like this. Until later in the week when they have an all hands saying. "The company is in GREAT shape, dont you worry at ALL. This was just a touch but necessary decision."
@eb MBP was a blood path, the layoffs are still continuing today. The manager was shell shocked as it was a teams of people.
@e8 hopefully the severance isn't paid out in FIS stock because that will be free pretty soon

@OP Bob Toohey said today that the copilot meeting recording and transcription being turned off was just a temprorary thing until "some policies get updated."
since he has proven you can't trust anything he says, it's most likely they turned it this week because of layoffs this week.

@ag mine was scheduled a day before. No HR. Started out like a normal conversation and after about 6 minute... bam! Whole thing took 13 minutes.
HR is not on RIF notification calls anymore. Managers have scripts to read to the employee and cannot deviate from the Q&A script.
@a1 My boss has one now too so we know what that means. I have a feeling they shutdown Teams recording this week for a very specific purpose now.
Weren't the last layoff meetings scheduled fifteen minutes ahead of time? Would anyone schedule the meeting with more lead time than that? I am curious...
@OP They don't have HR people on the call anymore. They already laid them off. It will be just your manager if it happens.
It's layoff day and quick check in with your manager. I'd be prepared
@OP voice record the meeting using your cell phone. No one is going to confirm that meetings scheduled for tomorrow are for layoffs. No one. The only way to find out is to attend it. BUT, record it using your cell phone, place on your work station out of sight. Do it. If you are technically savvy enough to video record, I would absolutely do that. It is essential to protect yourself because I assure you, they are protecting themselves.
don't necessarily panic yet. there was a people office and managers call today, and in that they said managers should be having performance check-ins on a regular basis
@OP Same here, but not with my manager. Either horrible timing or Im gone too. I asked my manager and he thinks it is something entirely different.
