Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

RTM No overtime

No overtime for RTM positions. Just so you know the company is going to fully expect you to work 50-60 hours to complete the job but only pay you 40. Dont fall for the trap. Take the severance if you can.

@44n “on line MBA”? Where are you getting your information? Are you referring to online because that’s where you acquired your GED?
You just keep doing you, I’m gonna do me! Excited for the opportunities that lie ahead for me.

@3zg So, you go from not understanding what a fig is to understanding what it is and being offended over the course of 2 sentences. Maybe you and your online MBA should “care less” 🤙🏾

@3rm sounds like a rather mature response, whatever that is? You are working hard to “not listen to the truth”! Now it’s just name calling? Nobody cares, but growing up is always an option!

@3rc is that what they told you? Rethink that one. Than why salary and no overtime? BTW, reps were salaried and still got overtime.
When nabisco was owned by Kraft, reps were salaried and straight overtime. Also, incredible and achievable bonus structure, month, quarterly and annually. Life was good, we were respected!
From there to here, wow. Every “realignment” is a reaction to poor performance numbers for Mondelez. They are trying to su-k employees dry, yet some continue to defend them. For field employees, run for your life or go down with the ship!

@27h nobody is “begging anyone to quit”! All I’m doing, as well as countless others on here, is to be honest! We made more than twice as much money, worked 40 hours, received endless bonuses, while being appreciated and praised for our work.
Does this sound like what you are receiving now?
Things cost more, inflation. It’s called cost of living and most employers take that into account. The management all got bumps in their pay. Guess how much the CEO makes!
Now, the SR role has been combined with other roles, so more work. All the while no overtime. And achievable bonuses don’t exist, how many bonuses do they pay out now as compared to 10 years ago? No monthly bonuses.
I can care a less if you quit, but at least know how bad you are being sc--wed!

@22e that’s laughable! Of you feel the need to work endless hours and wait for your “promotion”, you go big dog! Just a heads up, you won’t get far! Who’s getting a handout? Not me! I left and started a new career with an organization that pays me what I’m worth, respects my time and my family with a healthy work/life balance, and has no glass ceiling for those that don’t kiss anyone’s a$$. You won’t find hundreds of nasty comments about my employer, people are happy.
Oh, instead of a company car that is junk, they gave me an allowance allowance to get what works for me and my family….picked up a Tahoe. Enjoy Mondelez! 🤣

@1yy see that’s your problem… 40 hrs max…. You’re a loser… I’m willing to work over 40 hours to progress in the company. Not complain and wait for hand outs.

@1nz that’s not something I’d be bragging about! The role of the SR was at one time very financially rewarding….40 hrs max, 37 in the field and 3 hrs paid for admin work. Over time was time and a half. Nice bonus structure that included monthly, quarterly, and year end. All were very attainable and could increase your salary by well over $20k a year with not much effort. So many nice incentives, I’d have $1000’s of dollars loaded onto a prepaid rewards card for incentives I barely remembered doing. Great team events! It was a great job.
Now the new role is 4 jobs rolled into one, territories 5 times the size, no bonuses you can achieve, and a pay cut for anyone who has been around any amount of time.
Have fun! Hahaha! Do the math people, you are getting sc--wed!

@1ee you’ll be required to work until the job is complete. That’s why they are making this a salaried position, they can work you to the bone! They have been doing this to reps a long time, even though they has perimeters in place to prevent overworking people. Kraft had great blocks in place to ensure work life balance. When Mondelez spun out of Kraft the first thing they did was to take away PTO. Next up was changing how ice time was calculated, no longer straight time and half. All the while the policy was no Ofer one while they gave you unskilled labor and you had to do your job and theirs, otherwise stores would be upset for sloppy work. Guess what it will look like now? You’d be better off working two full time jobs and getting paid for both.
Don’t say you weren’t warned! Anyone who has been there for any amount of time knows this, every seasoned rep on our team left and the team has not hit an objective since!

This is true. RTM has already been rolled out in some territories in the south for some time. Mission 1 was also rolled out in some select territories in the south about a year prior to it going live nationwide.

I can tell you that the reps that took the position are absolutely miserable. Like OP stated, these RTMs are putting in massive amounts of OT and are just getting paid their salaries with no OT. The reps that I’ve talked with have said they basically took a pay cut by taking this position because they no longer get OT and are basically putting in an additional 15 hours a week in to get everything done. One I speak with regularly is absolutely miserable and regretting taking this position daily.

@ad How do they know this??? Are you that new to the company? That is how they roll. If it's not going to be more work for less pay, then why not just leave the pay structure the way it is?
