I hope we get to go home at 2:00 on Christmas Eve this year like in years past.

I worked 6 to 10, left my laptop on the network and went home. I'll go pick it up tomorrow or Friday. The report will show 12 hours. Y'all need to be smarter.
Reminder. 8 hours work time.
Work til noon. Then a 2 hour lunch and back to the shop to clean and organize my truck. Shot of whisk-y on the sidewalk with my OGs and home by 4:30.
Just telecommute the last 2 weeks people. Eff the report. They aren’t going to fire all of us.

This doesn't match core hours. Better to use PTO.
Nowadays the supervisors are too cowardly to give that shoulder tap “hey leave early”. Instead it’s:
“Might end up in the presence report if you don’t put in 8 hours in the office on dec 24”
But I thought you said not to worry about the report that people only get in trouble for repeated issues.

There is no such corporate policy. Your leadership may have implemented some policy for your group but mine did not.
