Beware....Certain field techs were now volunteered to test an AI program that we are being told to eliminate some inside jobs such as NTs(Network Techs)

@dk Construction robots too. Climbing scaffold and nailing up siding. Scary.
There are drone robotic lineman. Check youtube
@dg You are a special kind of stupid. The post said nothing about replacing field techs. It spoke of phone support for the techs. You must be the clown who was related to someone to get any kind of employment. Or you offered or-l services to someone
Yes is true, I saw a humanoid robot driving to a site, it had its own wheels, got into the transport room, called AI NOC, unplugged a fiber he already knew was faulty and replaced it, he used AI ladders, AI fiber scopes, AI label makers...everything was AI......geeeez
@ap three times a year? You're funny. I guess you think we still wire POTS lines all day long. You know less about the network than some of our former CEO's.
That will be great. AI will tell us everything tests ok, when it’s not, further pi----g off our customers.
@af guess they will find someone human to do that task the three times a year it happens
@af AI will report the failure so a contractor can replace it. Win win
@OP Good. I guess you missed that part about AI doing more.
Never saw AI change a circuit pack.
Desk jobs like NOC/tester? Or jobs that require a presence like CO tech?
