Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Your job isn’t a marriage — it’s a lea

Your job isn’t a marriage it’s a lease. And like any lease, you’re allowed to check in and decide if it still fits; if not, move on. For the past 30 years, it’s worked out fine for me, which is why I’m still there. There’s no need to complain. If you aren’t happy, find something that makes you happy.

you don't have a career at AT&T, you simply have a journey.

Straight from the Stank's mouth.

I’ve been here 30 years as well. How about you take your unsolicited advice and place it where the sun doesn’t shine?
Thanks and GFY.

So in other words the OP is saying treat your job like a lease and not a commitment like a marriage. Well you know how folks treat their leased cars that they plan to turn in every three years right? Since the car will be returned at the end of the lease, drivers neglect maintenance or drive harder, knowing they won’t deal with long-term wear and tear and are not worried about a little dent or scratch, who cares? but when you own the car you are committed to treating it very well..

Stankey thinks I should be leasing a Porsche, but pays me just enough to lease a Yugo.

@a9 Good Lord, do you drink the Kool Aid by the gallon?!
The “leadership” of this company reaps what they sow. They have made it abundantly clear their feelings towards employees. The distrust and open anger expressed towards us is palpable.

You don’t understand why we are negative and complain? Let me -iss on your leg and tell you it’s raining.

Great post! Just as we owe ATT nothing, it also owes us nothing. It has paid a lot of people more money then they are worth, including me. I just wonder how long before they pull my card? But I will not leave bitter, instead thankful for supporting my family all these years! Oh, I almost forgot, I will even get a check to leave. Who does that ?

The people who are staying are for the paycheck they get with outdated talent or too comfortable in the warm diaper. period. Probably both.

@OP You are correct, and I can not agree more. If this job does not fit your needs, just find another one and move one. I am not understanding why so many ATT employees are constant complaining or talking negative about the company. If you are not happy here, just resign. It is a simple logic.
