Thread regarding F5 Networks Inc. layoffs

F5’s Road to Recovery: Rebuilding Strength in the Multi-Cloud Era

F5 is poised for recovery as it doubles down on the technologies that power and protect today’s digital world. With businesses rapidly adopting hybrid and multi-cloud strategies, F5’s expertise in application delivery, security, and traffic management has never been more relevant. The company’s transition toward software and SaaS-based models ensures sustainable, recurring revenue while its Distributed Cloud platform expands reach beyond traditional load balancing into full-stack app security and observability. By embracing automation, AI-driven insights, and edge computing, F5 is positioning itself as a trusted leader in simplifying and securing complex application ecosystems—laying the groundwork for renewed growth and investor confidence in the years ahead.

Kudos to FLD and executives focusing on XC(SaaS) and not just sticking to legacy system.

@OP it's only "ensures sustainable, recurring revenue" if the product works. The product working right now is a problem.

@cm no just fake posters trying to maybe hurt the stock price or something. F5 has a lot of shorters and specu-flippers drawn to it after the breach news hoping for a big crash.
Not to mention competitors who have had actual worse vulnerabilities exploited leading to full device control through traffic , which is something that hasn't been done in the big-ip that I recall.

@v1 didn't Kara cancel Silverline?

I was on XC when f5 did me dirty. Can tell you having an outage or five each year chased customers away. Then they let go a bunch of Silverline founders and now nobody gets it.

@c9 that’s what happens when managers with inflated ego think they know better what to build and how. Customer feedback? Are you kidding? Better to build a product for years, hiding in a basement, and then surprise surprise! Bugs bugs bugs and products nobody likes and pays for.

@hh and I fought this issue also.

Our upcoming technical report exposes years of systemic negligence, showing how F5 systematically failed to patch critical vulnerabilities, leaving open doors for attackers worldwide.

@c9 XC customers 26% of largest big IP customers will be served by your home computer? Only sunsetting is your job.

xc is being sunsetted in april or may of 2026, so who cares. It was a failed project since day one

XC sounds like it is failing, i am sure some one here can give us more information on it? Last I heard our customers are looking to shift away

a bootlicker? their legacy hardware and SL is the ones that have good reviews. XC feels like a buggy platform that is on beta testing. For those who do not believe it just see how much outages they had
