IN OFFICE HOURS REQUIREMENT - CIC

Ok, what is the deal with the in office hours tracking? I’m hearing it’s based on badge swipes, connecting to the network.

Can anyone in management enlighten me what they’re looking at? Is it 4 hours, 5 hours?

Apparently there is some reporting but no one has seen it so we don’t even think it exists. I need someone who really knows what’s going on to shed some light on this please!

We were told it is badge in and log out. Logging in doesn’t make sense if you have trouble finding a workstation or have some technical difficulties logging in for the day.

Anyone else think it’s hilarious that everyone is packed into this place and they shut down the Food Court until further notice?

@aq this is correct. And the threshold is technically 5 hours but management received talking points that specifically said to NOT disclose the threshold, and just tell everyone it’s 8 hours; to make sure employees don’t do the bare minimum.

It's like a stop light. Anything less than 6 hours is red. Anything from 6-7.5 hours is yellow. 7.5 hours and up is green. So you don't have to be EXACTLY at 8 hours to be green. And it is based on first network log--in from a WF IP address and last log-off. So you can log in and out numerous times during the day to go to appointments, go to lunch, etc. It's your FIRST log-in and your LAST log-off. Badges are not the primary data point because not all locations have badge-in and badge-out capabilities. This has been discussed several times in many, many posts made on here, so please start reading through the posts before all these exact same questions keep getting posted.

8 hours from badge in until last network activity.

@OP it’s 8 hours. Your manager should have communicated this already. All staff groups are expected three days in office 8 hours a day. Don’t try 5 or you’ll get dinged for it.

My manager said last week it’s based on login & logout times and 8 hours is the requirement. Straight & to the point. Any other deviation or appointments need to discussed with them first. Badges swipe tracking is secondary as some locations you only swipe in but not when you leave .
