Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

New Chief Communication Officer

It is messed that we hire a new executive, while at the same time asking people to voluntarily leave. Supposedly her comp and bonus exceed half a million. Do we really need this? Is our comms department such a mess we need to hire someone from the outside!?!

@t2 their hypocrisy screams loud. They lie and steal for only their benefit.

They pay her 1/2 million and complain about paying decent salaries to their claims employees. Total b/s.

They brought the communications exec in as a way to prep for all the fallout and damage control that is coming soon with the layoffs and offshoring work that’s on the horizon.

This has been the trajectory since Rust left. The brand has not been protected in every policy implemented. SF is in DIRE STRAITS and suffers from INDUSTRIAL DISEASE!

@c9 this is exactly what happens, they keep reorganizing and you have to prove yourself all over again. Its extremely taxing. I've been focusing on my side business instead. This isn't worth it

I stopped watching the NFL not just because all the woke propaganda commercials but also because of the horrible SF commercials. It's a joke to see Jake up there and it's just cheesy at this point. Not funny. Enough is enough, we have too many old clueless Execs in Bloomington running SF. We need to cut about 5-6 layers of leadership. Give them the new severance and get them out of here. Place is a pure he-l hole. Let's save the 3-4 billion a year we are spending on marketing and give it to the employees!

Comms/marketing is a f*ucking mess. All id--ts running it down to supervisor level. Unethical hiring and all lies. The dollars they are spending on ads and commercials just for execs to still be asking people to voluntarily quit would fix a lot. It’s awful. Sf is awful. Unethical and bogus

Sure doesn’t make sense when all we hear is we have to cut expenses, cut expenses, cut expenses. Then turn around and hire these high paid executive roles. 12th floor is getting fatter while we just get told to do more work, faster and cheaper.

@OP meanwhile my wife who works at State Farm and is an absolute rock star can’t get a 10% promotion even though it’s been promised to her but bosses change and don’t pass along info and then new targets are set. We only try to save money when it comes to the low life’s of the company which is anyone below executives
