Penny and team are touting Enterprise Reimagined as the first time in firm history EJ has had layoffs. Penny has said August 2025 was the first time there has been layoffs at EJ. I know for a fact that is a bold face lie. As early as 2023 some of my fellow associates who were laid off were training their Indian replacements with the fear of severance withholding held over their heads. We were told they were not able to tell us who was being laid off. When we saw someone in the office and did not see them the following week we would know who it was that got laid off. Penny team are just bold faced liars with no integrity and a very low moral compass.

Penny and her team have been lying since day one when she was named managing partner. This team includes KC, SM, KJ, HM, KG, JK, and of course now everyone's favorite cringe player DC. Ted was a great visionary. He also demanded good performance. He did not really care about image. He cared about performance. He would have pulled the plug on Penny on day two after her mistakes regardless of how it looked. Penny has made mistake after mistake. She and her team keeps doubling down trying to get out of the hole they have dug for all of us. These people are supposed to be so brilliant, but they do not follow the lesson most people learn when they are children. When you make a mistake, own it. When you lie to cover up your mistake then lie to cover up your lie and then again and again and again you just compound the mistake. Like many people have found out over time the cover up is often more atrocious than the original mistake. Obviously, this is something they did not teach Penny and her team in school. Perhaps, Penny's parents did not teach her this either. Shame on them.
@OP All true because I’m one of them. The firm is holding severance over our heads so we would comply with training our India replacements. I was told my job was being eliminated which is speak for “we’re replacing your job for cheaper labor”. And those numbers given to press did not include the hundreds of associates laid off in Operations.
