Wondering if this is what they have in store for NA employees in all departments. A lot of changes have been made. I wonder how many people have actually made it out or targeted after these changes.

@kf Good question. That I'm not sure 100 percent sure of. If the work is done in Massachusetts your fine. If you've done nothing wrong and they are using the PIP to cut staff/costs they may word it as an amicable work separation
@ht Is that true for every state the company operates in?
@ha not true. You still qualify for unemployment if you get let go because of a PIP. Performance can be subjective. If you refuse to do the PIP they probably could deny it. You only get denied unemployment if you were fired for breaking companies policy, theft, s-xual harassment, etc. After a PIP you still might even get severance in exchange for your silence.
@OP A layoff allows employees to maintain a modicum of dignity on their way out, as well as eligibility for unemployment benefits.
PIPs on the hand are a fast track to being fired via "constructive discharge" with enough shame and embarrassment to hopefully keep impacted employees silent, while also disqualifying them from unemployment benefits in some states.
Either way, best of luck!
@ck I’m in sales. Things can be positive. b2b calls and meeting quota can be negative.
