Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

Halloween Trick or Treat with Layoffs

Signs that layoffs may be coming include financial troubles such as declining revenue or a hiring freeze, management and leadership changes, reduced perks and benefits, Zero Bonus, increased HR activity, organizational RESTRUCTURING, and shifts in your personal workload or exclusion from meetings and projects.

You may also notice increased secrecy, vague communication from leadership, canceled projects, or a generally somber or uncertain atmosphere in the workplace.

Oh, but ACN is hiring:

"1) Accenture has a substantial presence in India, with over 300,000 employees, which accounts for roughly 57% of their global workforce.

2) Accenture is actively hiring in India, particularly in technology-related fields, with plans to recruit an additional 40,000 technology professionals over the next three years. This expansion is part of a strategy to refresh their talent pool and capitalize on the country's skilled workforce.

In May 2025, Accenture announced plans to promote 43,000 employees in India in FY25, including 15,000 promotions in June 2025. Some employees in key growth areas also received salary increases.

Historically, moving jobs to India has been driven by the lower cost of labor. Accenture has been a part of this trend, establishing offshore facilities and hiring aggressively in India for various roles including application development and business process outsourcing.

This excludes the increased offshoring and near-shoring in other countries."

If you don't like appreciate when people discuss their layoff concerns and need a place to express themselves, then don't come to a site that is all about layoffs. DUH!!

"Look, I'm so grown up, so will go all condescending on a site that is all about jobs, employment and layoffs to look down on people and tell them to chill"....

Makes you Feel better? Awww... So glad for you, pal.

This is getting a bit exhausting, every corporation but Accenture has had big cuts since 2024. Every single Q people come on here and announce ACN layoffs and when these do not happen, they announce new and push the date to later. Low performers disguise their firing, as layoff and it appears as though there are some high numbers silent cuts, where there are not. In Europe for example, if there are big waves of layoffs (excluding firings for performance), they cannot be hidden from press. Unless you have some concrete details with location and numbers, please refrain yourselves from comments. Excluding low performers exits, there were most likely some cuts in the company. The company having the size of Alaska state, it is a miracle they did not announce anything huge yet. If they do, this is connected to a global economic situation and people should start being solo CEO of their own life and career. People, this is just a job and not life itself, take care of your personal life, your families and learn to take challenge as being part of life. Upskill, take care of your mental health and enjoy life in the moment. Many people are very happy working in Accenture, but quite often they do not take their life online. These people, even if they get laid off, they will take their positive attitude elsewhere and be content where ever they are. Just like unhappy employees will take their character with them to the next company and be unhappy there.
