Do you know that in EMEA they cancelled all company cars, no more. All savings, everywhere. If anything happen with OpenAI deal for 30B$....

@a5 Yes, we are spoiled with employment protections and labor laws. Gluttons for all the good things, actual notice period and severance payments.
Do you need a company car to work remote ?
@a9 The death of the "company car" has more to do with the tax code than anything else. It used to be that the company could write off the car but it didn't count as a non taxable benefit to the employee (like health insurance). That changed in the US decades ago.
I suppose that EMEA employees who were getting a company car are now expected to lease and insure one with the extra money will now get, assuming it's enough.
The stock is only up 60% in the past year, it’s only up a measly 300% for the last 5 years. Let’s all pray the top brass can keep it together with these small gains, keep the top executives in our thoughts and prayers that they can make it out of this.
@a7 Facts
This is correct but the amount of the annual allowance was just added to base salary.
@a5 people aren't spoiled, they fought for rights and privileges while US didn't. on top you also get sacked first.
@OP I don’t understand why the cars were needed? To deliver a final code version? 😁
...and we are supposed to finish your point there?
Why should we care? Sounds like EMEA are a bunch of spoiled people who don't know they are so spoiled. Company cars haven't been popular in the US for 40 years.
