@7mq we’re really not okay training them but it’s either that or be fired. Most of us are looking for new jobs, the market is trash right now.
@4ga EVERYONE IS OKAY TRAINING THEIR FUTIRE JOB REPLACEMENTS???? REALLY???? MIND BLOWN.
@459 that and we just brought on another 80 drafters in the CIEC to replace the BPs drafting some commercial designs. They’re not fully trained up but they’re getting there.
@3e1 I will tell you they just added over 1k ports in CIEC if that tells you anything
@2hr national security is just one of many issues. The work has also been incredibly slow from their end from what I’ve heard from several friends there. Not to mention, customers who have gotten wind of this are realizing their businesses won’t be safe as their data and such is outsourced! Comcast is selling out their highly-skilled workers within the US, as well as their customers. Who at the top is pushing people to Chennai? No one in the US can do the jobs they so badly need to offshore? Sounds like a great plan after a drop in customers to begin with.🤯
@25c sounds like national security issue to me.
From the construction design side ( Design, and As built) the change is already made. Everyone is remote, and all under one org.
Comcast is slow cutting the business partners work to move everything in house. There is also a possibility of moving the design work to India.
@e4 Or Manila
I think they’re saying if you’re not in the HQ org you’re living on borrowed time. Cutting the divisions was just the start, the regions are going to get whacked next and there’s a strong preference to keep people in Philly and more so a tolerance for those that aren’t.
Care to explain?
Thats a funny way to spell Chenai, India
That's so incredibly informative. What would the internet have done without such a detailed and actionable contribution?
