Thread regarding F5 Networks Inc. layoffs

Layoff numbers this year

Looking back, it seems that fewer people were cut this year compared to recent ones. Yes, there were layoffs, but not as many as last and previous years. Curious if others are seeing the same thing.

@71x Leadership only likes the people who don’t question them. They love people who do the Yes boss/madam kind of thing .If you disagree with them or complain , they will retaliate. What else can we expect from Indian leadership. They only believe butt kissers because they talk sweet and cover up the facts..Way to go Okta folks

@4q9 it’s quite surprising to see more managers being hired . Unworthy people leading and we need to answer the same thing to 5 different status checkers every time. Why? Smh

@4fg after a while you realise that “leaders” are clueless and shouldn’t be glorified. They are not accountable for their mistakes, lack of knowledge, and lost revenue. They always present excuses. Guess who gets laid off to cover management mistakes.

@nr There are so many anti-patterns on this project, it’s hard to know where to start. IT leadership is in roles they clearly aren’t equipped for. It’s frustrating that, as a tech company, we’re struggling with the basics.

@OP "Security is our absolute highest priority" - nobody prioritizes security more than this company, believe me. Which is why we’ve made the bold, strategic decision to lay off a bunch of security staff in the middle of the year. Tremendous move. Fewer people, more security. People are saying it’s the safest we’ve ever been. Really incredible. Pause and reflect on 2025.
