If Belk wanted to gut the “milestone” anniversaries to a lowly $10.00 per year it’s their prerogative. Rewarding recipients for the first 7 months of this year 2025 and not the remainder recipients August through December of 2025, is totally unprofessional and heartbreaking. Clearly the company no longer cares about employee loyalty.

@3ah Then you haven’t worked for Belk long enough. A milestone anniversary is for 5 year, 10 year, 15 year, etc and falls in the date you were hired. Belk awards those associates celebrating milestone anniversaries with a monetary gift card. 5 year associates received $100.00, 10 year received $200.00, 15 year received $300.00, etc. For the year 2025, Belk paid all milestone anniversaries from Jan-July 31, 2025 the above monetary amounts. Then Belk decided from August 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025 to pay those associates with milestone anniversaries, half of what they paid the Jan-July associates. Imagine how you would feel. The company should have waited until Jan 1, 2026, to enact that plan to be fair to the associates celebrating their milestone anniversaries from August through December.
@x9 Milestone Anniversaries are for 5 year associates, 10 year associates, 15 year associates, etc. It starts with the day you were hired by the company. Example: If you’ve worked for Belk 5 years, Belk awarded the 5 year associates with a gift card for $100.00. 10 year associates received $200.00, 15 years received $300.00, etc. For this year (2025), Belk awarded all “milestone” recipients those monetary gift cards from Jan 1, 2025-July 31,2025. Starting Aug1, 2025-Dec 31, 2025 the company decided to give those milestone associates half the monetary value in their gift cards. 5 year $50.00, 10 year got $100.00, 15 year 150.00, etc. Imagine how you would feel if you were set to receive your milestone gift card this year and because of this “change” that started August 1, 2025, you received half while those associates whose anniversary’s were Jan-July received the full amount. If the company wanted to make that change, they should’ve enacted it January 1, 2026.
