Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

#ImagineIT - US Preliminary Numbers

Numbers are not final until offers go out and are either accepted or declined. Roughly speaking, my mole tells me the LT expect to see about 40-45% across the board. Including EOI's, not including Noble reduction numbers.

To hell with IT. All this talk about digital, simplification, and cost reduction but their costs keep going up and up. Should have been an 75% cut. Why are they always trying to Bill us so much.

That guy's RPA data science bot sh– he was pitching is hammered dog sh–. Our GM outright told us he volunteerered him to DIA, cause he didn't need more engineers screwing around with robot c-ap that ain't turning the bit any faster. I hope he gets laid off this go around. Buckle up MFs!

when you have the #GoDigital and #RememberWhen guy trying to build everything with PowerApps and the performance is horrific with unqualified consultants who are not technical at all from EY and Accenture, it'll just get worse.

“Low code” and “citizen developer” is a joke. What you are already seeing and what you will continue to see is an exponential proliferation of unreliable cr@p apps and redundant inaccurate dashboards designed and deployed by unqualified non-technical people with no foresight given to how they will be used, scaled, maintained, or supported. Over time, all that sh!t will gradually end up orphaned on the cloud as people change roles, but Microsoft will gladly keep raking in the money because none of the petro-tech rejects stranded in IT will be able to keep it under control.

IT has been throwing products over the fence for years. Anyone can successfully make a game changing app with low code platforms like Salesforce or the Power Platform.

My "mole"(if you want to call it that" actually gave me different numbers than that and I heard about the people who incorrectly thought the numbers that you gave were true. My close confidant informed me that, contrary to the rumors that you heard, the numbers will be closer to 25%- 30%, pretty much similar to the rest of the company. Perhaps they are being intentionally misleading? In any event, there is nothing that the OP can claim other than a rumor. Heard enough of them all year.

“Anybody can do IT” is the reason IT suks. It’s just a place you stick unqualified people who couldn’t compete in their own org.

Networking and Infrastructure professionals get hit the hardest since they will be replaced by ACN and HCL, but that’s not a big reveal.

Ok, so inline with the earlier post about #ImagineIT. If you look at BU IT numbers before versus the direct BU support going forward those group employee numbers are reduced more than 50%.
