Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Comp?

Has anyone heard when STI will be paid this year? Normally, we’d had heard by now the payout date.

@3hn it’s Pay for Performance and not every Meets gets 100%+ of STI target (target being the key word). If Partially Met or Does Not Meet, definitely no where near 100%.

Got less than full STI here.
Anyone else get a bad review despite being told they were doing a good job all year?

If I could of quit when they told me that, I would have. My fellow colleagues in the same spot, lets polish our resumes and get out.

@OP by now everyone probably knows what they are getting and when the payout is. I’d like to address a few comments in a single post though. If under Roshan this year, the process was different. L4s made all decisions. L5s and lower were not consulted. Also, cost of living? Joke. Some got as low as 1.0% raise and less than 90% STI even with meets. Multiplier was 1.06.

It’s Friday, 2/27.

Looking at a solid 2-3% of salary. More than enough for a good burger and a brewski.

@33H Not every manager is involved in the comp decisions. Depending on their level your manager may provide input but the decision is made one to multiple levels higher.

The information should go back to your manager to communicate but that doesn't always happen or happen when it should.

@32p Tried asking and was told he doesn’t know. Which does not make sense. It’s my MANAGER. He should know. Maybe it’s bad news then.

Paid this Friday, Feb 27th. The comp statement will automatically be released to employees on Feb 26. Perhaps ask your manager???

It is the last week of February. Are we getting STI payed out this week? If we are? To this day no details from my manager. Anyone else get zero info?

Why?

You know your target. You know your performance rating. Not that hard to come to a reasonable STI estimate +/- and set 401(k) accordingly.

If you need cash now plan low. If you don't plan high.

You can always adjust the go forward up or down or up then down or down then up if you are somehow way off.

All evens out in the end regardless.

It's ridiculous they don't tell us until after the deadline to change % into your 401k.

That is why I asked.

May be required in certain countries but isn't a standard happening for everyone every year.

Sorry, they don’t do cost of living increase here as far as I am aware.
Interesting to hear if it occurs in other groups. I haven't received one.

There is a cost of living increase?

Is the cost of living raise announced during the year end review or is that later on since it won't take effect until later?

Don’t know the multiplier. They seem so secretive this year.

Probably the 26/27th like our friend says here. Website says the deadline to set the STI allocation is on Feb 15th. Payout should be with the next paycheck that following week

Anyone know what the percentage STI multiplier should be achieved for the different individual performance ratings?

Lucky that yours told you your percentage. Mine did not and was acting like he knew nothing and did not have a say in the compensation.

All comp decisions are still under review so likely it won’t be until Feb 18-20 before HR green lights the communication to the employees (similar timing to prior years). HR expects all communication to the employees by Feb 26

I have been told the percentage but still not sure about the final amount

For most countries, STI will be paid Feb 27. Salary increases will be effective March 30/April 1 (depending on country)

Literally came here to ask the same question. Don’t know. Asked my manager and he didn’t know as well. I wish they would at least tell us the amount now. Have a feeling they are giving people bad reviews to justify lower STI.

@OP I’ve been told it will be last payroll in February which tracks with prior years.
