Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

I don’t think that’s accurate. I’ve watched top contributors get impacted, and a number of leadership calls haven’t added up.

@3f6 You seem like someone of a sound mind and good judgement, and likely bring high value to your department, so no, your manager will not put you on the list. I asked for years to get on the WFR list, to no avail.

@10b Aruba in Tunisia is very small potatoes.

JNPR brings in all the money so HPE can keep floating. Equal to all Tunisia GDP.

You'll just have to go back to being a hotel clerk now that tech is done.

What do I have to do to get wfr’d or otherwise laid off from HPE? I want out!! Someone please tell me. Would it help if I start asking to be on the next list or will that backfire?

@ct We are targeting $200 million in synergies savings with the Juniper acquisition. This is a fancy way of saying we cutting $200 million in costs. The first place we look is redundancy and the first place that targets is HR, followed by Marketing, Finance, Support, and Sales. Typically in that order and in the first year. Has happened the same way with the last several acquisitions.

Juniper destroying HPE and the leadership of Juniper is bullsh-t. I don't expect that much from this company in the next few years, for no reason they fired all Aruba Support in Tunisia they said busniss strategic..

What? Seven levels between you and the CEO too much? I never understood what the people over my second level manager did except shuffle the nonsense down from the top.

I joined through Juniper and I can honestly say I hate this company. Maybe it’s just the Marketing org, but I have never seen so much overhead, fluff and performative leadership in my career.

@qx If that’s the case, then all local-language roles (French, Spanish, Italian, etc.). Which are a key strength of this site would disappear. It wouldn’t only affect Aruba, but all other organizations as well. Those positions would simply be moved to other countries.

From what I’ve heard locally, Juniper previously had a presence in Tunisia, but instead of integrating with HPE Tunis, the entire Juniper team was merged under Dubai. Apparently everyone was relocated though this still needs further confirmation.

@q4 Yes, I heard they are going to replace those jobs between bulgaria and romania. We have to wait and see but the job posting don't lie

They fired the whole Aruba org in Tunisia, starting from new hires to MG2/director. It got erased in less than a month. Of course effective by the end of the year

One of my former HPE coworkers asked to be placed on the WFR list. Some people want out of that company in a bad way.

I know of two recent grads, were with HPE less than 3 years and definitely wanted out ASAP. I can't say I blame them.

Anyone knows about layoffs in Aruba/Juniper? They atleast had a good FY25 result? Or is something cooking for Aruba / Juniper Employees too?

After listening to the earnings call, it’s clear HPE is entering a serious transformation year.
The messaging from Antonio focused heavily on repositioning the company, while Marie emphasized structural efficiency, cost discipline, and accelerated integration.
FY26 looks less like a continuation and more like a reset.

HPE was my first job out of college. I was laid off 26 months later. The company has good people but the leadership is horrid.

Does that answer your question?
