Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Michigan: This Is What Corporate Negligence Looks Like

Humana has reached rock bottom, and that’s not an exaggeration.

SNP leadership has taken on a Michigan contract that is clearly beyond their operational capacity, and frontline associates are the ones being forced to absorb the fallout.

We received 7 hours of training for work that realistically requires at least a week to do safely and competently. Yet we are now expected to call members, keep them on the phone for two hours, complete over 100 assessment questions, conduct a full care plan review, complete ICT documentation, and do this three times per day.

There is no raise. No incentive. Instead, mandatory overtime to compensate for leadership’s decisions.

This is not sustainable. It is not responsible. It compromises the quality of care our vulnerable members deserve.

And let’s be clear: this is not what work-life balance looks like. This is not how you support healthcare professionals. This is burnout by design.
Associates are exhausted, frustrated, and deeply concerned about the direction this is going.

You are putting the blame where you think it falls, not where it belongs.

He literally cries if he drops a pencil on the floor. If I see him cry about something again, I'm going to puke.

@r4 I agree with this. He is a poor leader and even worse public speaker. He also lets his emotions get in the way (negatively, may I add.) I will never forget the meeting he threw on us quickly and then literally chewed us out about the MOP/PDMR percentages.

@f0 yes it was his idea. I could have told you he was not the sharpest kn--e in the drawer when he would sp-t and stutter in the town halls. I want what his boss smokes before she sends out the emails full of sunshine and gratitude. I can’t figure out if she’s knows what Mouser does and doesn’t care or is she blind and stupid?

I wish I could upvote this two or three times. I feel less and less like a nurse with every passing day and every new forced assignment. The AI written drivel that’s supposed to placate us is sickening. Can some basic human decency be shown? Maybe throw an extra 10 cents at me while the C suite rakes in enough to buy a new summer home?

@f0 I think we can agree that Mouser doesn't give a fu-k about frontline employees. We laughed when right before this Michigan cr-p, he sent an email thanking and praising us for reaching a record number of members, as if that metric tells the whole story. What it really reflected was micromanagement, mandatory overtime, and an increasingly autocratic approach. Hitting numbers doesn’t mean people are supported or respected.

@e3 Managers weren't told anything. Only to get a list together of who has a Michigan license. From there, the senior leaders put a list together. Managers had ZERO input.

I wonder how the managers decide who gets picked to do these different “projects”. It seems like the people the managers don’t like get picked to do these jobs to get them to quit. I am sure they’ve succeeded. This too shall pass. I’m here and I’m not going anywhere.

Agree with all the above. This Michigan thing SU-KS, I'm calling the state health department, these members will pay for Humana's negligence.

The meeting today was ridiculous. They didn't even have an idea of how much time the nurses trained for ! ? I'm quitting next week. I feel disrespected. DGAF about AIP, mental health first.
