Thanks for all the insights. I decided to decline the job offer. My current role is secure and the move to Aramo is not worth it taking into consideration the instability, regional tensions and air pollution.

Are you unemployed?

If not, then avoid.

Just pose the question to your recruiter; they are reliable…

Have you been offered double your current gross? If so consider. But I highly

  • doubt it, more likely they danced at 20% increment which is peanuts. Presumably you’re out of work to even even be considering this.

I wouldn't come. Everyone in anxious, fighter jet constantly flying over Dhahran. I've never seen it like this before.

Iran can’t really do much but make a fireworks show. You’ll be fine. Don’t be a wu-s.

If you have a job already, stay put. Current situation is not looking good. Plus all the air pollution.

American employees were always the first ones to flee at any sign of political instability and the first ones begging to return once they thought it was safe. Everyone else just continued as normal.

It is ONLY considered a "good" place if the primary goal is financial gain. However, if the priority is a fast-paced meritocratic career advancement and rapid professional growth, it might not be the best choice for you.
