Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

EJ # 1 in client satisfaction?

The Almighty JD Power has blessed the firm today with the top spot. Jonesnet spouts confetti when you open it. Penny raves in an 8+ minute video. But my favorite part of the day was an email from KJ - our great ELT leader.

“To help us amplify and extend the reach of this important milestone, consider adding a comment that celebrates the moment and shows your pride on EJ’s LinkedIn, Facebook and/or Instagram posts. USE WARM, POSITIVE LANGUAGE THAT HIGHLIGHTS OUR COLLEAGUES, CULTURE, AND COMMUNITY IMPACT.”

Got that, Team?

@2z8 would be a real shame if someone not under an NDA started anonymously feeding local news outlets the real scoop on wtf is going on here.

@ay all of these awards are bought and paid for. There is literally a whole team of associates who sold role is managing the awards and recognition for the firm. Every year they set aside a specific budget for applying for these awards, that competition and wear placements were the previous year, try to analyze which ones they think we may have a shot of actually moving up on, fill out pages and pages and pages and pages of applications and write a ginormous check. All for optics. I’m really surprised no one that has been fired from here, and not “re-imagined” hasn’t written an exposure op-ed on this place. Of course those laid off had to sign an NDA.

@a7 Why is no one talking about the terrible loss of a life?

@a7 I am sorry to hear about a human loss but I am not surprised. There is torture daily on those let go, tapped to leave and those awaiting their fate. Bless us all for caring so much.

@b2 Does KJ have an original thought in her head? I swear all she ever spouts are talking points from PP or from ChatGPT. No substance at all.

What's funny is the survey only has 23 places they poll, and I'm pretty sure we have to cough up some coin to get in, and I wouldn't be surprised if you can put your thumb on the scale to get the results you want. A pay for play if you will. Let penny have her moment of winning the trophy for the C flight, it still doesn't change this house of cards setup we have going on.

I checked the Forbes Best Places to Work list and EDJ is not in the top 500. Isn’t that the list Weddle would boast about and celebrate that EDJ was on for like 10 straight years or something???

So... draw no attention to the absolute sht show that the home office has become, the complete and total lack of trust at all level in the MP's office and the rest of the ELT, make no mention of the first mass layoffs in firm history, ignore the adverse health issues that we've been collectively blessed with because ELT wanted more money (or the gentleman that committed suc*d after being ISP'd).

Make clients believe that everything is A-OK at Edward Jones despite the fact that it feels like a complete house of cards at this point.

mmmkaaayyyyy....

Frankly, clients and local/national news outlets ought to be hearing about everything going on in PP's secret garden.
