@2f2 their value is relatively small... Let me guess, associate or vp with 2 to 5 years experience? Logic, elevator propaganda and regional employment law sadly do not factor in to the decision making. What is actually going to happen is... They've spent a sh1t ton on money on AI because they wanted to appear better than Goldman's and feel equal to the AI companies, the only way to balance that will be to cut staff and that will be done on secret talent rankings that measure if your boss likes you as opposed to performance. Sorry. Genuinely sorry.

@2de they don't know. Its really all conjecture. AI projects are ramping up but the value is relatively small "at the moment". AI is notoriously difficult at full automation and the damage it can do is immense. Will more layoffs happen (yes of course and it will be blamed on AI while working people even harder) but AI is a misnomer as its really not intelligent and has no capability of self learning.
